Measurements

1. Draw Create your project with its individual tree structure: site, building, floor, rooms. Then, simply sketch, freehand, the outline of each room. Add openings, pillars, fittings.

2. Measure Take the measurements as requested by the software. These are fed back into the plan through a Bluetooth connection. The positioning system works on restrictions (distances, angles, parallelism, alignment), making it possible to build-up a room and then a complete floor, progressively. It will guide you through the operation and allow you to take just the bare minimum number of measurements. Using the Leica D8, any non-horizontal measurements are automatically projected. Measure the heights of rooms and the slopes of the ceilings for a simple way of producing a 3D model.

3. Detail Rapidly qualify your project by building, floor or room using the notion of inheritance, simply noting exceptions. Detail the state of each measured element (rooms, walls, openings, fittings) using either multiple-choice responses or in the form of text, audio and/or video format.

Exploitation of the data

Connect your Pocket PC to your office workstation and start using your data instantly: 2D or 3D displays, dimensional plans, French, 'Carrez' law surface area plans. Export your digital 2D or 3D model to CAD software (for example, AutoCad (DXF, DWG)), or even to an estate management programme (IFC). Generate Excel tables containing all quantitative data (linear, surface areas, volumes) and qualitative data (type of flooring, ceiling, levels of wear). Personalise Viz'All to optimise the productivity of your measurements: General data for your Pocket PC, room names, zones, multiple-choice qualification responses, fittings and drawings, Excel models, etc.
